Tuition Policy

1. Tuition can be paid by the month or by the semester. It is due and payable on or before the first day of the month, or at the beginning of the semester.  A semester is August - December or January - June. If not paying by the semester, first time students only must pay the registration fee and first & last months' tuition.

2. Tuition is non refundable.

3. Tuition is based on a yearly rate and is divided evenly among the ten months of the semester; therefore, tuition is the same each month, regardless of holidays or the number of days in a month.

4. Monthly and Semester tuition is based on a 28 day, 4 week month:

• Since all calendar months except February exceed 28 days, each of those months contain EXTRA classes that fall on the 29th, 30th, and 31st.

• There is no extra charge for those classes. Instead, these extra classes are traded for school holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and spring break.

• Denton Ballet Academy holidays generally follow the DISD calendar. When in doubt, call the studio. The answering machine message will tell you if classes are cancelled that day.

    5. Absences due to illness or family emergency can be made up. There is no tuition adjustment for absences. 
    6. If your tuition payment is not received by the first class of the month, your account will be assessed a $10.00 late charge unless prior arrangements have been made with the office. 
    7. Recital costumes are ordered in January, provided your $50 recital fee has been paid and there are no outstanding balances.  The arrival date of your child's costume cannot be guaranteed if the costume is ordered later due to nonpayment or late payment of recital fee.
    8. Five- and Ten-Year Pins are awarded at recital to students who have accumulated 50 and 100 months of attendance, respectively. They are paid for by the parents.
    9. If you decide to discontinue your child's enrollment, you must notify the Denton Ballet Academy office prior to the date of your child's last class. If no notice is received, you will be charged tuition up to the date when your child's withdrawal is discovered.
   10. Your child's place in class is guaranteed only as long as your tuition payments are current. The Denton Ballet Academy reserves the right to replace your child if tuition becomes excessively past due.
